Who we are
breaklight is an AI-testing consultancy. The data controller for this site is Breaklight AI LLC, 99 Wall Street #1528, New York, NY 10005, United States. This policy covers this website; data handling during client engagements is governed by each engagement's contract and statement of work.
What we collect
The personal information this site collects is what you choose to submit through the contact form — your contact details and what you tell us about your system. Like any web request, a submission also carries technical data such as your IP address and browser identifier. We do not run advertising trackers. To see which pages are read, this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views, referring sites and country. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not identify you or follow you between sites or visits.
Google Analytics, only if you accept
With your permission, we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, how long for, roughly where visitors are and which device and browser they use. It is not loaded at all until you click Accept on the cookie banner; if you never accept, nothing is sent to Google.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_GZ8SBTF0FG (they last up to two years from your most recent visit) and sends your usage data and IP address to Google, which acts as our service provider and may process it in the United States. All of Google's advertising features are switched off for this site, and we have not enabled Google's optional data-sharing settings. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under bl-consent.
You can change your mind at any time: open cookie settings. Rejecting after accepting deletes the Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page, after which nothing more is sent. Google's own handling of the data is described at policies.google.com/privacy.
How we use it
What you send is used solely to reply to your enquiry and discuss breaklight's services with you. We do not sell, rent, or share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Where it lives
The contact form is provided by Deformity (deformity.ai), a third-party form service, and is shown inside our contact page. What you enter is sent over HTTPS to Deformity, which stores it on our behalf so that we can read and answer it. So that the form can be submitted safely and picked up again if you leave partway, Deformity keeps a short-lived security cookie and your in-progress answers in your browser. Deformity’s own handling of your data is described in its privacy policy. You can request deletion at any time and we will confirm removal from the form service and from any copy we hold.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us through the contact page and we will respond promptly.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will be updated. Material changes will be noted on this page.
